Robotic surgery as the name suggests involves the use of technologically advanced equipment that allows the surgeon with the most precision and accuracy while performing the surgery.

So, when defined properly robot-assisted surgery, is a minimally invasive technique that involves the use of different equipment. This technique allows complex procedures with more precision, flexibility, and control than is possible with conventional techniques. The procedure can be executed with a few tiny incisions, rather than the one long incision used in traditional open colon surgery.
