Halcyon
Varian Halcyon v2.0 is a dedicated machine with high-end techniques of radiation oncology, promising inspiring new victories in the fight against cancer. It is an advanced radiotherapy system that is designed to deliver precise image-guided, volumetric, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) up to four times faster than standard technology.
We at Nanavati Max Cancer Centre use Varian Halcyon v2.0 with Treatment Planning System Eclipse™ Version 15.6 and Record & Verify (R&V) System ARIA® 15.6: Latest Linac design of the era with the capability of delivering IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT. It captures two dimensional or cone-beam CT images in less than 15 seconds for guidance. It is swift and the procedure is completed in the blink of an eye.
HALCYON also includes kV & MV CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) imaging with high-resolution image results in precise delivery of radiation to the cancer cells.
